I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in adolescent, family, and couples therapy. I have extensive experience working with both adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, and life transitions. Music therapy has also been an integral part of my therapy practice and allows clients to communicate and externalize emotions in a safe and creative way.
My approach to therapy is very relational, collaborative, and solution focused. I have received comprehensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Family Systems Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Music Therapy. I customize the treatment approach based on the needs and goals of the clients I serve.
As a Bay Area native, I have a personal connection to a variety of local resources. Growing up in San Francisco and Marin, I gained firsthand knowledge of both the private and public school systems, including afterschool programs, academic tutoring services, and intermural sports leagues. A part of the therapeutic process is linking clients with resources that can further their growth beyond treatment. I firmly believe that creating a personal, familial, and/or community support system is crucial in helping adolescents and families reach their therapeutic goals. Using my “lived experience” as a Bay Area native allows me to help clients make informed decisions about which local resources are best suited for their needs.
When I am not doing therapy, I enjoy playing guitar and writing music. I also have a weakness for good chocolate and am an avid hiker in the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe.
